However, this news seems to be a "false alarm" as Vista Land Chairman Manny Villar clarified during the recent launching of Vista City Iloilo that they have indeed plans of establishing an amusement park in the development, but it's not Enchanted Kingdom.
"It will be an amusement park probably better than that," he assured during Camella Iloilo's 15th Anniversary press conference.
Vista Land and Lifescapes, Inc. recently announced the expansion of Savannah City, its residential development in Iloilo which will be known as Vista City Iloilo.
Vista Land Chairman Manny Villar looks at the miniature model of Vista City Iloilo - the company's biggest development in the Visayas. |
It will transform its biggest project in the Visayas into a communicity – a unique concept that integrates every Filipino family’s needs and wants in one community.
Pegged at P40 billion, the 500-hectare Vista City Iloilo will cater to the modern lifestyle of the Ilonggos as it upgraded from building mere residences to developing facilities, amenities, community structures and commercial establishments that will transform the development’s landscape into a complete residential village.
Aside from the amusement park, the communicity’s centrepiece will be the 100-hectare City Center where hospitals, a hotel, a mall, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) offices, an amusement park, and other vertical developments such as condominiums and high-rise buildings will be built.
On the other hand, he noted that the company has been receiving good reception among BPO investors and he is confident that they will be able to get tenants very shortly.
Vista Land and Camella Iloilo officials propose a toast for the success of the project. |
“The company has built a lot of BPO buildings in Manila. We have now the confidence and the experience,” he noted.
Among the amenities currently inside the development include the Georgia Academy that will have a college department soon; five clubhouses; four basketball courts; one tennis court; jogging and biking paths; and numerous gazebos, parks and children’s playground.
