Bistro Ocean City opens at SM Southpoint
The classic Ilonggo favorite has now given a modern taste! Bistro Ocean City is now open at your favorite hangout place, SM Southpoint.
Started as a restaurant serving a mix of Filipino and Chinese cuisines in 1992, Ocean City has now evolved into a homegrown food icon of the Ilonggos with diverse offerings.
From a its simple abode in General Luna Street which remains steadfast up until now, Ocean City opened its first bistro in Ayala Technohub in Smallville in 2011. It has also spread all over the metro as it established counters in the foodcourt areas of almost all leading malls in Iloilo City.
Complementing the modern interiors of Bistro Ocean City are its new dishes which cater to the taste of the modern Ilonggos and patterned to the eating habits of the millennials.

Seafood Chowder is a good start for a sumptuous meal. The mixed flavors of the various seafood make it special and will surely warm up your tastebuds.
Waldorf Salad might be usual for some. But mind you, Bistro Ocean City's version is better than the others (based on my judgment). I love its simple ingredients and dressing. That for me, makes it extraordinary.
This Pink Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce struck my palate. The tangy taste of the lemon butter sauce perfectly blends the natural delicious taste of the pink salmon.
Chicken Galantina is a new favorite. It is not the ordinary stuffed chicken dish that we usually see in most Filipino occasions. Bistro Ocean City's take on this classic Pinoy dish surprised me as the ground chicken meat was literally stuffed inside the sliced chicken.
Sizzling Gambas is highly recommended for the shrimp lovers. The not-so spicy sauce is a perfect match to the fresh shrimps used in this dish.
A well-deserved sweet ender, this Cookies and Cream Cake awakened my sweet tooth. The vanilla ice cream topped with crushed cookies and cream biscuits, drizzled with chocolate syrup tastes like heaven to me.
