Filipino favorites with Kapampangan twist at Cabalen

Pampanga is dubbed as the "Culinary Capital of the Philippines" because of the delectable local gastronomic attractions that could be found here. With the aim of spreading the popular Kapampangan flavors to the rest of the country, Cabalen was born.

Cabalen is a Kapampangan term which means "kababayan". Now, Cabalen has also become a byword for a place where you can "eat all you can, eat all you want".  No wonder this buffet restaurant which located at the third floor of SM City Iloilo has instantly become one of the go-to places of the Ilonggos when looking for Filipino food.

I personally like Cabalen because of around 50 food choices that they are offering on the buffet area everyday. From appetizers, soup to main dishes and desserts, Cabalen showcases the best of Filipino cuisine in one place. But more than that, I love how Cabalen put a Kapampangan twist to every dish they serve.

Here are some of the delectable offerings in one of the days at Cabalen SM City Iloilo.

As Cabalen's treat to its Ilonggo patrons, August celebrants eat for free everyday by bringing five paying adult guests.

Moreover, you can also take out your favorite Cabalen dishes and share it with your loved ones at home. Available dishes for take out include Kare-Kare, Kalderetang Baka, Pork Sisig, Adobong Manok, Pritchon, Dinuguan and Lechon Paksiw. These dishes are available for only P199 (good for two).

Aside from local dishes, Cabalen also features other products which are best as pasalubong.

You can enjoy all these yummy pinoy dishes all day, everyday for only P298 + VAT. Children 3 feet below can eat for free.
