Making First Moments Happen in Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival with Cebu Pacific
Another flight is soon opening in Iloilo! This time, it's a direct flight to one of the country's major hubs!
Cebu Pacific Air will surely make your first moments happen as it is launching the Iloilo-Clark-Iloilo flight starting August 9.
In line with that development, I'm sharing with you my first moments in Pampanga (where Clark is also located) when I joined this year's Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival (IBMF) with Cebu Pacific last April 5-7 in Pradera Verde in Lubao, Pampanga.
Flying in a hot air balloon has been one of my bucket lists and it was indeed surreal when when I was invited by Cebu Pacific to experience Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival 2019.
Now on its 6th year, the Lubao IBMF is considered as the biggest hot air balloon festival in Southeast Asia. With a total of 31 hot air balloons that come in different sizes, colors and designs this year, the said event is being highly anticipated by both local and international hot air balloon pilots ad tourists.
Since there is no direct flight from Iloilo to Clark during that time, I and Nana of A Not Secret Life flew to Manila first and travelled for about 2 hours going to Clark. It was actually my first time in Clark and I was impressed seeing big developments in such a small place.
We arrived at Clark late in the afternoon and upon arriving our hotel, we just had a few minutes to freshen up as we went immediately to Lubao which is about one hour and a half away from Clark.
Our group which is composed of bloggers and influencers from Cebu, Davao and General Santos was welcomed by thousands of people on the concert grounds. And so, we joined the moshpit and enjoyed the music fest with some of the country's popular music artists - December Avenue, Ben & Ben, Juan Karlos and I Belong to the Zoo.
Other featured artists on the succeeding days of the event include Apl.De.Ap, Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, Al James, Bamboo, Moira, This Band and Vice Ganda.
Aside from the nightly concerts, the main event of Lubao IBMF is ofcourse the hot air balloon morning flight. To those who are planning to experience the said event next year, you really need to wake up early. To give you an idea, we woke up as early as 3 am and travelled going to Lubao from Clark just to catch the hot air balloon fest. It is because the hot air balloons cannot fly when it's already too hot. The ideal time to fly the hot air balloon is between 5 am to 7 am.
Ofcourse, I did let the chance to passby without flying in the hot air balloon. Though it was just like for less than 5 minutes, the experience is quite fun for a first timer like me. Thanks to Cebu Pacific for making this first moment happen for me.
You, too can #MakeFirstMomentsHappen in Clark with Cebu Pacific soon with the opening of the airline's Iloilo-Clark-Iloilo route. Book your flight now through https://cebupacificair.com.
