Conquering Guimaras Island with the new Ford Ranger

I and Nana of A Not So Secret Life joined some vlogger friends and local media personalities in the media drive, not as drivers, but as passengers since we do not know how to drive. LOL

 

Though we did not get the chance to drive the said new variants of the Ford Ranger, we still had fun having roadtrip around the island and I would say that these cars really testify to the brand’s battlecry – “Built Ford Tough”.


COMFORT AND STYLE

As a passenger, the first thing that I would look into is how comfortable the vehicle is. Good thing the new Ranger has ample leg room that we could even groove discreetly while jamming to our playlist. This was made even convenient with the SYNC3 feature compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing drivers to make calls, select music, and use apps with eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

 

It also exudes a sleek and modern design perfect for the millennial drivers who want to be on trend. The new Ranger has a more distinctively-chiseled lower bumper now offers a broader intake for a more balanced look.

 
The Ranger Wildtrak variants also boast its LED daytime running lights and HID headlights for optimal visibility and vision, as well as hoop sports bar, roof rails and bed rails.

 

In terms of interiors, the new Ranger displays a durable and tactile surface finishes ensuring a long lifespan with a premium touch and feel. Its shadow chrome and silver accent stitching, on the other hand, help give Ranger’s interior a more luxurious feel.


SAFETY FEATURES INTENSIFIED

I’ve heard from our vlogger and media friends who got to test drive the new Ford Ranger that it has an advanced braking system called Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) which helps mitigate risks by detecting pedestrians and vehicles, alerting drivers with an audible and visual warning. AEB also increases brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when the driver brakes by pre-charging the brakes.

 

I have a number of friends who have hard time parking their vehicles. That’s why, though I am not driving, I appreciate the Active Park Assist (APA) of the new Ford Ranger which helps the driver find parallel parking spaces and steers itself to a parking spot.

Other notable safety features of the new Ford Ranger include the Adaptive Cruise Control which senses traffic and adjusts speed automatically; Lane Department Warning which lets the driver know that he/she is not on the right lane at certain speed by vibrating the steering wheel; and the Smart Keyless Entry and push-button of the Wildtrak which is really cool for me.
