Sun Life holds FUNDay in Iloilo

As part of its commitment of teaching financial literacy to everyone especially to the millennials who are vulnerable to financial temptations, Sun Life recently held "Let's Have Some FUNds" event in Iloilo City.

Attended by some of their financial advisors, partner bloggers and social media influencers, the said event was highlighted with a financial talk by Ilongga online personality and young entrepreneur Katrina Loring.


Entitled "Money Under 30", Loring shared in her talk some of her experiences as an entrepreneur - both failures and success - and on how she was able to overcome challenges until she achieved financial freedom.

She also shared some tips on how to manage one's money, especially those who are under 30 years old. Some of these tips include:
                                      💰Pay debts
                                      💰Pay bills on time
                                      💰Plan your budget
                                      💰Record your expenses
                                      💰Make saving automatic
                                      💰Prepare for rainy days and dreams
"Always live within your means and prioritize needs over wants. The art is not in making money, but in keeping it," she added.

Meanwhile, Sun Life Visayas Regional Sales Manager Michael Gustilo also shared his regrets during his younger years.


"I regret spending so much on my wants, settling for salary as my only source of income, and starting late in managing my finances," he said.

Gustilo also highlighted that dreams and life goals can lead you to financial freedom as it gives you a compelling reason to save and spend rather than spend needlessly.
