Virtual Tour: Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo
It's been more than a year now when Megaworld made an announcement that the first ever Courtyard by Marriott in the Philippines will open in the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park. And finally, the long wait is over as the said highly-aniticipated hotel had its softopening on Labor Day, May 1.

Randomly Candid together with some members of Iloilo Bloggers got an on-the-spot invitation from Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo Marketing Communications Officer Nico Ivan Velasquez to have an exclusive tour on their first day of operations.
Guests' safety and security is always on the hotel's top of the list. It is evident in the hotel's main entrance, parking areas and facade where security personnel with K-9 dogs are always on the look. X-ray and full-body scanners are also on standby at the hotel lobby to check every entering guest's belongings.
RUNWAY KITCHEN
Before we explore the amenities of this 326-room hotel, we were first treated to a sumptuous dinner at the Runway Kitchen, the hotel's in-house restaurant which was named in honor of the old Iloilo Airport where the Iloilo Business Park is now located.
Runway Kitchen is a haven for foodies who want to dig in to diverse offerings. Japanese food will always have a special space in my tummy and so I first went to this section before checking out the other options
Their Salad section is a mix of fruits and vegetable salad options that will surely kick off your palate.
You can also make your own green salad at the Salad Bar. Have your own mix and indulge to a healthy meal!🍲
This one's my favorite section - the Open Kitchen. Aside from it is where the main courses and not to mention the good-looking chefs are to be found, in this area, diners can actually see what's really happening in the kitchen.
The Runway Kitchen also serves their own version of Ilonggo favorites - Batchoy and Pancit Molo to pay homage to Iloilo's local flavors.
Those who have sweet tooth will surely find a piece of heaven in the Candy Shop as it features different kinds of sweets, candies, cookies and other sugar treats.
Any gastronomic feast will not be completed without the desserts. Runway Kitchen's Dessert Section will give you the sweet ending you deserve with its wide array of sweet treats. Ofcourse, I never missed to try their Creme Brulee which I am highly recommending.

THE COURTYARD
Next to Runway Kitchen is the The Courtyard, the hotel's lobby lounge where guests can grab a drink or have meetings over coffee.
The place is so cozy that I imagined myself doing my blog here while having an afternoon coffee or after-dinner cocktail.
Too much for the gastronomic offerings of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo. Let me take you now to a virtual tour of the hotel's amenities and other great offerings.
LOBBY
Let's start with the lobby. Unlike other hotels in Iloilo, Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo has a spacious lobby that welcomes every guest with elegance and sophistication. It is the most minimalist hotel lobby I saw by far.
BUSINESS CENTER
Still on the ground floor, the Business Center is something that I really want to highlight. It can be rented as an office for a day. You will have your own secretary and you can enjoy high-speed internet up to 250 mbps.
You can also have this board room for small meetings and discussions. It is equipped with facilities that will make your conferences productive.
For events purposes, Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo has an area where their clients can have a sneak peek of their event setup from event elements, furniture and color schemes. An actual table arrangement is being done here as well. Clients can also get concepts from the previous events of the hotel which they can preview on the widescreen monitor.
FUNCTION ROOMS
This hallway is leading to the hotel's function rooms. Isn't it perfect for your event's grand entrance?
Courtyard by Marriott's function rooms are named after the four districts of Iloilo City - Lapaz, Jaro, Mandurriao and Molo. These function rooms can be combined into one venue and can accommodate up to 200 people.
GYM
Health buffs will surely find their happy place at the hotel's gym. Located at the second floor, it houses modern gym equipment and in-house gym instructor to guide you on your balik alindog journey.
The gym's shower are room is also something. It has a well-designed shower rooms where gym goers can freshen up after finishing their routine.
There is also sauna inside the shower room for those who want to relax a little more after hitting the gym.
POOL AREA
One of the best parts of the hotel is its Pool Area. Still located at the second floor, this is the view of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo's pool at night. It is situated right beside the iconic Iloilo Convention Center (ICC).
There's also a restaurant here where guests can dine in while having a refreshing dip at the pool.
An open-air bar is also located beside the pool where guests can lounge at anytime of the day overlooking the Iloilo City skyline. It can also be transformed into a cozy venue for different kinds of parties and events.
ROOMS
Now, let's take the virtual tour to the hotel rooms. Here's a photo the hallway going to the hotel rooms.
Since Courtyard by Marriott was almost fully-booked on its first day of operations, we just toured one of its available Standard Double Rooms.
The best part of any hotel stay is ofcourse having a good rest after the day's agenda. With Couryard by Marriott Iloilo's imported customized beds worth P200,000 each, you will surely have a good night sleep for the rest of your stay here.
Each mattress has a 50/50 cotton/polyester perscale blend and 180 thread-count which gives a rewarding comfort to anyone in whatever sleeping position you like. Plus, the allergen-free pillows add to the comfortable experience of every guest.
Ofcourse, we tried how comfortable it is. And yes, we all agreed that it's more comfortable than we imagined.
Built for new generation travellers, Cuortyard by Marriott Iloilo's rooms are equipped with modern features. One of those are the sockets with USB port for charging your gadgets.
The the earth-toned toilet and bath will surely give you a refreshing sesh before hitting the sack.

Each room has also a tall wardrobe with drawers for your personal stuffs. Inside the wardrobe, an iron and ironing board, slippers and robes are found. There is also a safety deposit box for your valuables.
Other room types include the Standard Suite Room, King Room and PWD Room.
CONCIERGE CLUB
VIP guests can also use the lounge's conference room for meetings and to check their emails through the desktop computers provided in this area.
The best part for me here is that guests with access will get to enjoy some food like biscuits and cookies as well as drinks from coffee to juices, to beer, wine and all sorts of liquor for free. You can also do your own cocktail mixes and drink it all you want.

Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo is a testament that Iloilo has indeed levelled up into a prime destination for both business and pleasure in the country.
