Chef Miguel Treñas

Ang Kamalig Restaurant's "Chef's Inspired Ilonggo Selections" highlights local ingredients such as green mangoes, fresh shrimps and coconut milk. Chef Miguel also shared some of their family's favorite dishes such as the Beef Salpicao and Chicken Estofado that he has given new and delightful flavors.

Here are Ang Kamalig Restaurant's Chef's Inspired Ilonggo Selections:

Crispy Shrimps with Salted Egg (P350)

Crispy Shrimps with Salted Egg is perfect for the seafood lovers. Made from the freshest shrimps sourced locally, this dish is made even better with salted egg as it adds more flavor to the main ingredient.

Garlic Estofado na Manok (P365)

Garlic Estofado na Manok is a classic home dish among Filipino families. Ang Kamalig Restaurant's version has become special as it is sprinkled with lots of garlic and topped with pineapple which enhanced the taste of the dish.

Adobong Manok sa Gata (P295)

Adobong Manok sa Gata is not an ordinary dish. This version of adobo is common in Southern Luzon, but also widely known in other parts of the country. Ilonggos also love dishes with coconut milk and Adobong Manok sa Gata will surely be one of Ang Kamalig Restaurant's hit.

Beef Rib Salpicao (P375)

Beef Rib Salpicao may not be an original Fiipino dish, but this has already become an Ilonggo favorite. That is why this has been included in the new menu of Ang Kamalig Resuarant. It's actually one of my top picks. I love the tender beef rib patterned to the Ilonggo palate.

Sinigang na Baboy sa Mangga (P400)

Singang na Baboy sa Mangga is something new to me. It's my first time to taste green mangoes used as Sinigang flavoring. And I must say, it's not bad for a first time. The sourness of the green mango is just right for sinigang. The kind of sourness suited for the taste of the Ilonggos who always want to have a balanced mix of flavors.

OYSTER BAR

Ilonggos have that innate love for oysters. That is why there a of talabahan spreading in every corner of the city.

As tribute to the love of the Ilonggos to oysters, Ang Kamalig Restaurant has opened its Oyster Bar which offers different oyster dishes.

Here are the oyster dishes available at Ang Kamalig Restaurant's Oyster Bar that you can dig in.

Three Chesse

Korean Barbecue

Rockefeller

Fried Oyster with Aligue
