You can now strut your sneakers in any kind of weather condition as Converse recently launched its Fall/Holiday 2016 Counter Climate Footwear Collection that features design and tools to combat the unpredictable weather.
 



The said new collection is divided into three categories – Shield Canvass, Leather, and Rubber. Though made from different materials, they all have one main purpose – to counter the climate.


Just recently, Iloilo Bloggers were invited to an intimate media session at Converse store in Robinsons Place Iloilo to officially introduce the Converse Fall/Holiday 2016 Counter Climate Footwear Collection.


Converse Philippines PR Officer Jeff Osoc traced back the history of Converse on how it became one of the biggest and popular names when it comes to sneakers.

With more than 100 years of experience in the industry, I must say that the brand has already mastered the needs of every consumer that they serve.

Notice the water drops which prove to the repelling feature of the canvass.

Proof of that fact are the three segments of Converse namely Cons which are most popular among the skaters, Chucks which suit the lifestyle of the hippy millennials, and the Jack Purcell which is famous for its simple design with a smiley displayed on its sole.


Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas


Going back to the Converse’s new collection, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas sneaker lineup for has a DWR (durable water repellant treatment) which serves as an effective defense against the rain. It has also a Lunarlon sockliner, non-slip padded tongue and micro-suede lining to provide comfort without going out of style.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Rubber


Perfect for this season, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Rubber is equipped with transparent leather overlay incorporated on the iconic Chuck II design. This rubber sneaker is designed to repel water and elements, and maintain heat while making sure that comfort is not compromised. Just like the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Rubber is also equipped with Lunarlon sockliner and a non-slip padded tongue.

Converse Cons One Star Shield Canvas



Still patterned to its “counter climate” thrust this season, Converse Cons Star has also the version of the Shield Canvass. It boasts its Lunarlon sockliner with a lightweight and breathable canvass to provide more comfort while combating the intermittent weather. Added features include a gusseted tongue and removed medial eyelets allowing the sneaker to tolerate wet environments. Traction rubber has also been incorporated to the outsole, providing additional grip.

Converse Jack Purcell Signature Twill Shield Canvas



Now comes with a thicker Shield Canvass, Converse Jack Purcell Signature collection has a water repellent finish, and a tri-color reflective heel stay. To regulate the temperature across a range of climate and keep the sneaker breathable, a mesh lining was added. Reflective laces add flare while a gusseted tongue construction will prevent water from seeping into the dual pod Nike Zoom Air insole technology.

Converse Jack Purcell Signature M-Series



Still delivers all-day comfort while on-the-go, the Converse Jack Purcell Signature M-Series now comes in Counter Climate Shield Canvass making it warm, durable and water-repellent. Completing its comfortable features are the Lunarlon insole cushioning, heat regulating mesh lining and a tri-color reflective heel tab for enhanced visibility in low light.
