From Tokyo to Bacolod and Iloilo!
THE long wait is finally over for the people of Iloilo and Bacolod as Tokyo’s leading apparel brand will arrive in the said Visayan cities on June 17.
Jasmin Cruz, Uniqlo Philippines Public Relations Manager said that they will be simultaneously opening the brand’s 31st and 32nd stores in the country in SM City Iloilo and SM City Bacolod on the said date.
Started by businessman Tadashi Yanai in Japan more than 30 years ago, Uniqlo has gone a long way as it captured 17 markets worldwide with over 1,700 stores.
In the Philippines, Uniqlo arrived in 2012 when it opened its first store in SM Mall of Asia.
Known for its comfortable, functional and stylish clothing, Uniqlo works on the philosophy of LifeWear that aims to make simple everyday clothes become better.
“Our thrust is to create functional clothing that will make your life more comfortable,” Cruz explained.
The soon-to-open Uniqlo stores will offer the brand’s full range of everyday LifeWear essentials for men, women and children.
Its available product lines include shirts, pants, and propriety products such as AIRism and its newest clothing line, Uniqlo Sports.
For the summer season, Uniqlo highlights its AIRism pieces that make one feel cold and comfortable even under the sun. It is best paired with other Uniqlo tops such as its Pique Polo Shirt that features a distinctive DRY technology that dries sweat quickly and suppresses odor.
For daily casual getups, Uniqlo has cool graphic t-shirts line up in collaboration with Disney and Pixar movies, among others. These tops also perfectly match with any Uniqlo denim jeans.
Other Uniqlo propriety products such as HEATTECH and Ultra-Light Down (ULD) will be also available at the new stores.
